Rotary World Curling Championships 2026
Friday 3rd April to Friday 10th April, 2026
Ayr and Stranraer Rotary Clubs look forward to welcoming you to Stranraer, Wigtownshire in South West Scotland.
Registration for both the Championships and the Friendship tournament will open in a few months’ time.
The event is being held at the curling rink at the North West Castle Hotel in Stranraer, well known amongst curlers all over the world. All teams and guests will also be staying either at the Hotel or a neighbouring one on an inclusive package which will include the entry fee, full board accommodation,
entertainment, and the welcoming and final banquets, and will offer excellent value.
Stranraer is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful quiet corner of Scotland with the Rhins of Galloway providing stunning scenery and rich and varied wildlife. The non-playing guests’ programme will include a wide variety of activities in the area.
The Hotel was formerly the home of Sir John Ross, the Arctic explorer who was instrumental in the discovery of the ‘North West Passage’. It offers an impressive 73 en-suite bedrooms, excellent dining experiences, the Alpine Bar and lounge, and other leisure facilities including swimming pool, spa bath and gym.
